A graduate of the Stratton Mountain School in Vermont, Ian originally moved to Colorado as a competitive ski racer and became an extreme ski mountaineer. Prior to entering the real estate business, Ian carved out a niche as a big game hunting and fly-fishing guide, highly sought-after by a devoted following of clientele. He also ran a successful home building firm out of Boulder, Colorado for many years, gaining valuable construction knowledge he brings with him to every showing appointment. Ian’s long history and relationships in the valley have earned him a reputation for integrity. He maintains his competitive edge by ski racing in the Audi Ajax Cup each year to benefit the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club. Ian lives in Old Snowmass with his wife and real estate partner, Etta, their daughter, Blair, and English cocker spaniel, Charlie. When time permits, he’ll be in the mountains—skiing off peaks, stalking elk, riding bikes or waist deep in a river, fly rod in hand.
