The story began in 1966 when Rocky’s parents met in Aspen on a ski vacation. He and his family moved to the Valley part time in 1984 when he was a student at Deerfield Academy. Proving truth is stranger than fiction, Rocky was also lucky enough to meet his wife here in 1993. This longevity and familiarity with the people and places that make the Valley special differentiates Rocky in this competitive marketplace. Aspen is his town! Rocky’s expertise and knowledge of the Roaring Fork Valley market is rooted in real-life events. In 2005, he and his wife, Heather, bought and renovated a condominium in the Aspen core and moved into a single-family home here full-time in 2017. Their experience demonstrates that gaining a foothold in the Valley is attainable and sustainable. With a background in wealth management at Morgan Stanley and twenty-five years managing commercial real estate, Rocky possesses a meaningful understanding of the economic and emotional dynamics that drive this diverse market. Aside from work experience, Rocky wrote his Senior Thesis at Princeton University on the post-silver boom period of Aspen’s history known as the “Quiet Years”, making him a true student of this marketplace.
